Private email on website

I have just gone on line with my Association website (my first experience building a website) and would like to add a member list with their email addresses and not have actual addresses visable. I have seen sites where you click on a button that represents the address and only the name shows on the From line on the email form.

that is accomplished using a cgi ...

what you would do is have a database listing an email address of each member than send a email address to that address... that way the email sent will appear as it came from your website yet neither party know the others email address

cgi's are a script or program (Common Gateway Interface)

how it works i am guessing your using apache...
apache->cgi->send email
