Would anyone be able to tell me how I can use two internet, if possible, connections on one router. I mean the obvious answer would probably be, make sure that it has two ethernet ports but will it work? For example, we have a T1 running into a cisco router and the cisco connected to a 3com office connect. But we've recently bought another half T that we'd like to use as extra bandwidth... Any Ideas.

Hi escme, welcome to Cyber Tech Help.
High speed connections go into the WAN port, you have
one WAN port on your router and two modems. There
isn't any way to do what your asking with the
equipment you have. You need a dual WAN port router (http://www.homenethelp.com/web/review/nexland-pro800turbo.asp).
There are WAN switches but they are 6 times the cost.

Thanks for the info. I figured that I'd need something like that. I actually found a Cisco router that does that but I an still unclear as to how it would work. I mean having two internet connections to one router is a go, ok but does that mean that the two connections are going to be combined? so in other words i have a T1 and half a T (512k), is it now 1536k, where the router has the added bandwidth to supply internet connection? See the reason behind it is that I work in an exchange firm and they are topping at about 900k a day and that's almost the entire T, which has been causing some slow down. Therefore I am looking to add the back up half T to lessen the load.. Or I could just subnet the network, But we all know that's a big head ache....

Most all dual WAN port routers will support E1/T1 speeds
that is for each port of course. Most of the duals have Load
sharing and transparent bridging which distributes all available
bandwidth.
It will all be seemless from your end. The routers just require
the ISP info.
