how can i hook two pc's together?
I have a new computer with windows xp. I have cable through modem. I have another computer that I want to hook up to use for games. The games are on the internet. Can anyone suggest how to connect the two?

Welcome
 I would recommend that you purchase a router to network the PCs together. The other option is Internet Connection Sharing. You need a Cross-Over Cat5 cable. Plug it in and run the Network Setup Wizard on each PC.
