error installing Far cry
My son has been trying to install Far Cry. nothing happens. the dvd doesnt load its brand new no scratches. the dvd drive doesnt respond and when i close it i get this error

Can you tell me what to do??

Could you please post your system specs,

Far cry eats up one hell of a lot of resorces.

that was a good read. i think it has something to do with having nero and other dvd burning software soim going to have a fiddle

I passed the system requirements

I have uninstalled nero etc and it still wont recognise the dvd.
Have a look here and tell me if this would help

Yes they are just the normal patches they are legal.

The dvd drive wont even recognise the dvd keeps telling me to put a disc in drive d

Does your drive read other disks?
Is your drive a CD-ROM driver or a DVD-ROM drive.
Because as you said befor farcry comes on a DVD and a CD-ROM drive wount reconise it.

Its a dvd drive and the game is a dvd. It just sits there and wont open you cant explore it, I am now going to test it on another dvd

yes it loads up other dvds. I have uninstalled nero and all the programmes i think could be affecting it. Rats.....

There is but you don't want to do that.

Just check the game works in another pc and that your dvd drive runs other games.

Just reading in the manual and it says it want a minimun 4x dvd drive recomended 8x dvd and high 16x dvd.

How fast is yours?

But put the game down as age of empires 3.
It dosnt test your CD rom speed for far cry.
