Hi slyspa welcome to CTH,
What is the spec of your system? How Fast is your internet connection? Before playing make sure you close all applications you do not need and stop all background processes. Any of these links help? http://www.blizzard.com/support/wow/?id=aww0819p http://www.blizzard.com/support/wow/ |

If you are on a shared connection, you're going to have to tough it out cause there's nothing you can really do to fix it other then get a faster internet service. I'm on DSL and I run WoW too.
But, if you're having problems in it then, you could try using the repair kit blizz released some time back, it wouldn't hurt to try. http://www.blizzard.com/support/wow/?id=aww01669p Also, you might need to set your firewall to open a port for WoW. 3724 is the port WoW uses, what I did was just go into 1. Control Panel 2. Security Center 3. Windows Firewall 4. Exceptions tab 5. Add port 6. Name: World of Warcraft Port: 3724 TCP bubble highlighted 7.
