Hello

First post here and I am a complete computer neophyte.

My issue is the following:

Certain forums have moving emoticons. When I use IE or Maxthon the images are static and do not move. When I use Firefox the images are moving as they should be.

For ex:

Scroll down and check out the money.

This issue arose two days ago. The only thing I have done since then is download a real player. During installation, I unchecked every option for it to be my default dvd player, music, etc. THere were about 15 options and I disabled them all. I cant imagine that would have anything to do with this but I figured I would you let you know.

What can I do to fix this?
Should a do a system restore? Or is there any simple way to rectify this issue?

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to CTH my friend,i hope you enjoy it here!!

Please goto the TOOLS menu in IE/Maxthon and then click INTERNET OPTIONS,then goto the ADVANCED TAB...Scroll down to MULTIMEDIA and make sure the following is checked:

Play Animations in Web Pages
Play sounds in Web Pages
Play Videos in Web Pages
Show Pictures
Show Image Dithering

Then close IE and re-launch (Or Maxthon -- Maxthon uses IE options (When using IE mode))

These are my settings for IE (I also use MyIE2 (Maxthon) Its simply the best!!

The reason it works in Firefox is because FF is a totally seperate engine and has its own options.........

Please give us a report when you get things settled :) (I like the colors on that site you linked to,BTW)
