ie history

I use internet explorer and i regularly purge the history, cookies and such - you know the whole tools, internet options, delete temporary files and clear history. Well trying to type something into the address bar earlier i'm noticing a whole lot of history of stuff coming back from 4-5 months ago. What is going on ? Could there be a spyware program on my computer ? How do i get rid of this for good ? Help Please ! !

Thats not spyware,
On mozilla firefox its called "saved forms", so I'd assume its called saved forms on internet explorer but I can't see where to delete them

Thanks ! To anyone that can help, please help me figure out how i can purge these files for good. I find it very odd that they were out of my history and didn't appear for 5-6 months. Now all of a sudden when i start to type in www.goog..... it finishes it with searches i did in Oct/Nov. Same with other sites. I don't know why i'm paranoid, it just feels like spyware.

Goto Internet Options>Content>AutoComplete
You can change the settings there.

The list used for AutoComplete is a combination of the browser History, your Favorites, and a third list stored in the registry. Even if you erase the history and get rid of unwanted favorites, there's still that 3rd registry list used. I believe this list is stored in the registry key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\TypedURLs, but you're better off disabling AutoComplete or using third-party tools like those suggested above (or CCleaner) to erase that list.
