shuts down

I try to access a site. click on link at the site and it boots me off the internet.
As in Realestate site, click on listings, then Town. When I click on a home
it shuts down.
I am a novice, so make it simple, please.

Test the site with a different browser such as Firefox.

downlaod Firefox. Still shuts down completely

In Firefox goto Tools>options>web features>
Uncheck Java and Javascript.

See if it still happens.

Taht works. Being a novice, do I leave Firefox as my default server now,
or go to it when I have this problem?

For IE you could try updating java
