Not able to install game

Hi, I have tried multiple things to install a game onto my computer using the disc it came with. It is a Nancy Drew game and I had previously had it instaled about 4 months ago, and my computer was running slow so I uninstalled it , upgrade my RAm, and now I want to reinstall it. Autorun will not work, I have clicke don computer and the e drive, Also went to cntrl panel and add programs, still wont load. I would like help with this please.

I am guessing E: drive is your drive that its in....

autorun.inf in your E: drive is nothing more than a plain text file that tells windows what to auto run.


Open it with notepad it should look something like this

[autorun]
open=setup.exe
icon=icon.ico

The only important line to look at is:
open=setup.exe

it might be named something else besides setup.exe
could be
open=install.exe

but lets say its named setup.exe

Just open up your E: drive and find the file named setup.exe (would be named setup if you do not have show file extensions on)
and run it.

The Problem
you or someone else must have turned auto run off for your drive

If you are on windows xp

download install, than run it
In TweakUI do the following...
My computer -> Auto play -> Click drives ya want it to work on...
