IE and Outlook express gone missing.

I normally use firefox but my hotmail account whenver opened in msn messenger always use IE but today whenever i open it i get an error saying something like login passport cannot be downloaded, IE has also disapeared from my start menu and so has outlook express i have luckly i still have short cuts in my quicklaunch bar but also when i load IE normally it says my homepage cannot be downloaded an outlook express cannot display my emails just the topic, they cant be opened or previewed. Any one have any solutions? just ask for more info if needed.

Your post was a bit hard for me to understand, but I think I got it. So, the issue you're having is that you're missing IE and OE icons from the Start menu, and that the programs don't function correctly. If this is the case, I recommend that you read the following Microsoft article, as it will best solve your problem.
