Unhappy Outlook Express-send/receive

I can receive e-mail into OE that I am pop forwarding from yahoo, but I can't sent e-mail as a new composed email or a reply. I have already checked the incoming and outgoing information and it is all correct. What's wrong?

What details are you using for the SMTP server?
Have you contacted your ISP?

Outgoing mail: smtp.mail.yahoo.com

Have you contacted Yahoo?
What did you ISP say? It could be that because you are connected to them you are required to use their own SMTP server and not Yahoos.

I called my ISP back. Got a different guy this time. You are right. I am required to use there SMTP server because they block port 25. I changed it and it's working. I don't know why the first guy couldn't tell me that. Thanks for your help. I'm fixed. Have a good day.

Don't be mad at the first guy. I work in a High Speed Internet call center, at my specific call center we have 2 weeks of training in a class. The class primarily describes and introduces the tools of the company, what they do, and how to use them. There is very little actual troubleshooting training, they actually teach us nothing about O.E and how it works with out service. In most cases these are things that the techs learn as they spend more time with the company. I do apologize that you contacted someone that wasn't able to fully help you, but please don't be mad that he wasn't trained properly.
