I've browsed the threads and can't see anything similar to my problem, so here goes. Have you heard about the EA Downloader, you have to use, to download updates for Battlefield 2. Well, you buy the add-on and then download it to play the game. I did this and then found that you had to use IE to do it, I normally use Opera. Now I normally avoid using IE like the plague, but needs must. Anyway it wouldn't download! Why? Because I've got IE7 and it won't work with it (they tell you after you've paid for the update.) So I need to get rid of IE7 and install IE6. It's not in my "ADD/REMOVE" list, but that may be because I had an older version at the time, and downloaded it as a torrent when I needed it in a hurry. (Not knowing it was a BETA version.) I've used IEradicator to try to get rid of 7 but when I try to install 6, it still says there's a newer version, and won't load. I'm stuck, and I'm desperate. All the EA servers are going RED because I haven't got this update. Please help!!!

Try this to uninstall IE 7
To uninstall Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2 and return to Internet Explorer 6 on Windows XP
Click “Start,” and then click “Control Panel.”
Click “Add or Remove Programs.”
Check “Show Updates” at the top of the dialog box.
Scroll down the list to “Windows XP – Software Updates,” select “Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2 Preview,” and then click "Change/Remove."
If you are running Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2 Preview -- March 20 or later, it is not necessary to check "Show Updates."

Thanks, but as I said previously, it's not in the Add/Remove Prog in control panel. I don't know why, but it isn't. I'm open to any other suggetions.

If you have Check “Show Updates” at the top of the dialog box and IE is not there then this (http://msdn.microsoft.com/ie/releasenotes/default.aspx) page may help you.

Thanks all, but I've been there and done it. I even altered the ieaccess folder, amended it so I could delete all individual ie files I could find, but when I tried reloading ie6 I got the usual "later version installed". I think it's going to be a re-install. Had hoped to avoid it but hey. Many thanks, still open to any other ideas.
