Question about YAHOO - can I copy e-mails?

Hi,
I use yahoo as my e-mail account.
I have a lot of old e-mails that I'd like to delete, but would like to have a copy or back-up of the e-mails in case I ever want them again.
Anyone know if this is possible (without having to open and forward each individual e-mail)?

I've asked yahoo, but their customer service isn't too hot...

Many thanks,
Richard

theres no way to make a backup or copy them especially if its a free account. If you have the pay version, then you can setup a pop3 and it will auto download all the old emails to your email client. That is what I did.

thanks, Dan.
It's probably worth me doing what you did.
Does it cost much to set up a pop3 (whatever that is!)... and can I cancel it once I've made the copies?
Thanks,
Richard

its not worth the money to purchase then cancel. I have the pay version of yahoo now. Since doing what I did in one lump download, I now get all my emails via pop3 and keep a copy on the server. Anyway, I think its about 20 bucks a year for the pay version of yahoo.
