Question does anyone know how to get a copy of sims2 of one computer onto another?

I have a desktop with the sims 2, but a relitive lost the disks and I got another computer I would like to run sims 2 on. does anyone know how i can make a copy of the sims 2 on one computer and transfer it to another???

Apart from being illegal, no, it's not really possible because the installation process makes registry changes that cannot be moved from one PC to another, it doesn't just copy files.
