Hello
I have some files in MPEG-1 and I want to know if I can compress them anymore. I know that MPEG is compressed. I just wandered if it was possible to compress it anymore?
Cheers
Richard

Just looked at google and found following aricle here (http://www.gslis.utexas.edu/~l38613dw/website_fall_02/readings/Compression.html)
MPEG - MPEG is short for Moving Pictures Expert Group. MPEG is actually used to refer to several standards for various types of files, including video (MPEG) and Audio (MPEG Layer 3, or MP3). Video compression is done by storing only the changes from one video frame to another rather than storing entire frames. MPEG extensions include .mpg (for movies) and .mp3 (for music files).
If it only stores the differences then -from my little knowledge of compression - I dont see how it can be compressed anymore.
