I have a sansui dvd/vcr recorder combo model#vrdvd4005. The problem I am having is that any dvd that I create using this machine is not compatible with ANYTHING. I've tried the dvds i've made in another dvd player and my computer. The other DVD player simply spits it back out like it despises it and my computer doesn't even want to recognize it. I'll put it in my computer and it says that it is a blank cd (even though it is a dvd.) does anyone know if it's just that this sansui dvd recorder is too "advanced" to be compatible with anything besides itself, or if there is some way to force my computer to be able to read the dvds. Any help would be appreciated

Hi there

I looked up your model here (great site btw, I use it all the time.)
Scroll down to "Ordered By Name"
http://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers.php?DVDnameid=3566&Search=Search

It looks like the only thing this model does not like is DVD+R, DVD+RW,DivX and Xvid

You may find answers to your issues at this site

Good Luck

Regards

Marty

I've seen that site in my searches and it basically just shows that half the people have it working fine and the other half (like me) are kinda getting screwed. Good thing it's still under warranty, I hope they'll give me store credit instead of another one.
