Help! :dizzy: I'm trying to move Word documents from one PC (Toshiba laptop, WindowsME) to another (the big kind, WindowsXP). Unfortunately, the fonts I used --Engravers Old English and Victorian letters--aren't in the 'new' one. I figured I could just copy the file onto a thumb drive and transfer them, but I can't find them in the laptop computer. "Search" does not turn up either font, but they still appear and are quite usable inside Word.

Both computers were given to me, so I don't have original system disks or programs. I've tried looking through and searching everywhere I could think of, but still no luck. Any ideas out there that are not expen$ive?
Thanks,

Judy

Look for the fonts in the C:\Windows\Fonts folder. Copy them to the thumb drive, then copy over to the equivalent folder on the destination PC.

Engravers Old English (http://http://www.itcfonts.com/fonts/detail.htm?pid=205298) appears to be a licensed font so you could either purchase a new license for the other PC or change it to something that is freeware but of a similar style.Heres (http://www.shepherd.edu/englweb/fonts/) some freeware old English fonts perhaps they will suit your needs.

BTW have you installed a program perhaps that includes these fonts as part of the install?

Thanks, but I already tried that. The fonts aren't there. That's my problem. If I could find them, I'd just copy them over. They are right there ready to be used in Word, but the computer's search program can't find them.

Thanks 104456! Those fonts look great! I think the first one is the most similar,I'll have to go check it out!
