Hi.
I recently purchased a new PC and running in the background all the time are 'etmon.exe' and 'ctfmon.exe'. Can you tell me what these are and if it is necessary to have them running in the background all the time. I like to have as little as possible running so can I stop them at start up via 'run/msconfig'? Thanks Gemini

ctfmon and etmon are both legitimate but unnecessary processes. However, there are better things you could look at disabling, rather than legitimate processes.
