Windows Media Player

Ok, I'm trying to open a video from CMT.COM, it's a music video. When I clicked the link, the player pops up and first it runs about a 30 second ad, and then usually skips right to the video. My problem is that now, for some unknown reason it plays the ad, but when it gets to the video, nothing. Anyone know what causes this? I'm using Firefox instead of IE, any problem with that? I really don't know what to do.

Another thing, occasionally when I open WMP, it randomly shuts down my computer.... probably not normal.

i have also looked through the help faq with no luck. try emailing them telling of the problem.sorry i couldnt help. Perhaps someone else can. hang on in there:D

No problem, actually glad it isn't on my end. Anyone know about the shut downs though? That has to be on my end, is it a vrius or something?

have you ran a recent antivirus scan go here (http://www.bitdefender.com/scan8/ie.html)for an online one
post back the results
i am not sure if it works with firefox
if not there is a downloadable virus program here (http://www.cybertechhelp.com/download/file/avg-free-edition)

AVG found no viruses.
