QuickTime Uninstall

I downloaded ITunes & QuickTime 6 from the Internet but could not get it to operate. I have tried to uninstall repeatedly but without success. I keep gettingthe following message:

"The file does not exist or is not a valid uninstallation log
C:\WINDOWS\System32\QuickTime uninstall.log.

I have no idea what this means but trying to uninstall the download is driving me nuts.
Can anyone help me out with detailed and idiot proof instructions or what I can do.

Try to reinstall Quicktime, and then uninstall it.

I have tried to install and uninstall but this makes no difference.

You could try an uninstaller program. Here's a link to some with a 30 day trail.

I have the same problem. Uninstalling seems to be impossible and reinstalling simply tries to repair the problem thats causing QT not to run. This repair doesnt work and i find myself back at my starting position of QT not running! HELP
