Hi,

Now this is probably going to sound like the most ridiculous question ever to all you puter wiz's out there.

I have recently bought a new comp (Tower) Packard Bell Pentium 4.

Stupid question but how do I know if i can Play DVD's on the puter. I tried one and it bought up the title screen but gave me no options to play CD select language etc. It just kept playing the title screen over and over no matter what I done. Do i need to purchase an additional drive or software??

My old PC we bought a CD/DVD Re writer and it allowed me to play or burn DVD.

The new PC has a Multi Format DVD Re-Writer. I just assumed this meant it could play DVD. ??????

I am very grateful for all your assistance and apologize again if I am being really DUMB. :hmm:

The fact that you can see the title splash screen means you can play them, but working out what software is installed and what you need to do to bring up the controls may be a different story.

It probably comes with Cyberlink PowerDVD which i have but don't have installed.

What happens if you right-click in the video window?

Thanks for replying.

Yes I do have Cyberlink Power Cinema.

My Husband set up the New PC for me whilst I was at work so I asked him what he had done when he set up Power Cinema. He then told me that he did not set it up at all, :dizzy: as he thought it was just for watching TV and as my Monitor is also a TV he did not think it necassary. :curse:

Needless to say I have now set up Power Cinema and my DVD's are playing.

So sorry to have wasted your time I shall be more thorough before posting in future.
