lz32dll

Hello,
I am trying to uninstall Explorer 2002. I get a message saying LZ32DLL is lost or not working. Check file to find the problem. I couln't do that so I found it on the net. When I try to install it, I get ( open with ) and a list of choices.acrobat reader won't work and notepad is not readable etc. Is there an executable file for this somewhere? I would rather uninstall this browser than delete it, because I don't need to lose anything else. Any ideas?
I am running W 95 OSR2 48 megs ram 6gigs hd adsl modem.
Thanks, John
PS. I don't have a W 95 cd. System didn't come with one.

In Windows 95 Explorer, double-click the WINDOWS folder, then double-click the SYSBCKUP folder

Select OLECLI.DLL, OLESVR.DLL. and LZ32.DLL (Click on one file to highlight, then hold down the [CTRL] key while clicking on the other).

Hit [Ctrl] + C to copy these files to the clipboard. (The appearance of the screen WILL NOT change when you do this.)

Double-click the System folder, and hit [CTRL] + V to paste the files.

Now try.

If they are not there, then download the files Here

They should go into the C:\Windows\System folder

Hello,
I tried it both ways, but now when I try to remove IE 2002, the add/remove programs locks up. I have to hit ctrl alt delete and end task to close it. Also, I noticed that rundll is running after I do this. Everything else seems to work fine. Did I do something wrong?
Thanks, John

Looks like a good product, but this is not MSIE. This is a browser that uses the IE engine, as they say. I still have IE 5.5sp2 and like it just fine. I just like to play around with other browsers. I guess that's what I get. Any other ideas, or for that matter, any other browsers that are truly fast?
Thanks, John

Well I would get rid of it before installing any others. I just read the readme file on IERadicator and it only mentions IE so your probably right.

Avantbrowser

FastBrowser

RapidBrowser XP

Mozilla v1.01

Opera - My favorite

Hey John, try a repair of Internet Explorer (from Add/Remove programs) then re-try uninstalling Explorer2002 from the same place after a reboot.

Mozilla & Opera both make IE & NS look like bloated pigs.
They both rock.
Mozilla is much like Netscape though - same basic code without all the AOL baggage! It even has a "skin" or "theme" to make it look like the old (pre 6.0) NS

Thanks for your help. I guess if I can't uninstall it I'll just use it.
Thanks, John

Hello,
I downloaded Win drivers backup. When I tried to run the set up this is the error message I got. The lz32 file is linked to missing export NTDLL.DLL:Rtl Delete Critical Section. I have gotten this message on several things I have loaded and tried to install. Any ideas?
Thanks, John

The Lz32.dll, Comdlg32.dll, Comctl32.dll, Shell32.dll, Winmm.dll, Version.dll File Cannot Start

Read through the above article.
Extract Lzexpand.dll

It may fix it, but now, the new Lz.dll you downloaded may not be the correct one.
You may need to go back to the original Lz.dll also.
Rename ( do not delete or overwrite) both Lz.dll and Lzexpand.dll to .old

Extract new Lz.dll and Lzexpand.dll.
