Hey all, first time posting on these forums, but have been trying to find an answer to a problem I have been having for some time now.

About a month ago now, I turned on my computer and poped in a DVD. Everything went fine and it opened in Winamp. But all I got was that audio. No video would show up. So I thought it was just a problem with the disc, as the day before everything worked fine.
So I put in another disc, no video. Used a different player, no video.
So I thought there was something wrong with my DVD drive and tried playing a file I had on my computer. Still only Audio. I have tried Windows media player, Winamp, BS player, Power DVD... Everything.
So I though, ok, what the hell?
Well, I was using iTunes and a video I downloaded from iTunes came up on my playlist and worked fine, video and all, through iTunes.
Now I was really confused. So I tried using Quicktime just to see if it worked to play videos, and alas, it DID.
But it only plays some files. If I try to load a WMV file it wont play.

SO, after all of that I just want to know if anyone knows what this is all about, and if its something I can fix? I have tried downloading every codec I can find to make this work again, but still nothing. Any ideas?

Try cleaning the disk there might be some scratches or it may be full of dust. Or try re-installing windows media player.

Yeah, at first I thought it was the DVD, but as I said it does the same thing with files hat are already on my computer. Ones that at one point DID work.
And I have re installed Windows media player. And every other player I have, but still nothing.
