I've got a program called DLA on my computer. I've tried using it to format DVDs, but it doesn't seem to work that well. Do other people use it? Is it worth using, and are there better programs?
I know it formats DVD to UDF (or something like that), but what does it all mean?!! :hmm: :dizzy:

1 other thing - after I format a DVD using DLA, the following happens...

but it continues to run...any ideas?

Thanks

DLA is (in my oppinion) the dodgyist program ever.
It came pre installed on most dells that I have seen.
The only advantage (over normal windows burning) that I can see it has it that it keeps disk open after burning.
Its does no more than CD Burner XP pro 3 does.
Also it uses loads of system resorces as its always running.

My advice is to remove it.

OK - cool, thanks.
Also, does anyone know if you can close a RW-DVD, to be able to use it on another computer, then re-open/format it when you want to add information.

cheers

Yes with CD Burner pro 3 (and other software but cd pro 3 is great and freeware) you can untick close disk and the disk wont be closed and you can add extra data at any time.
Also if its RW you can completly reformat the disk removing all data and starting again.

Seconded, pile of dog's poo that causes more problems than it solves.

Cool - at least I'm not the only one. Think I'll uninstall that and check out CD burner.

Thanks guys.
