I have created a graph using Microsoft Spreadsheet. I need to put the graph into my newsletter. I copy and paste it into microsoft word. But it is big so I resize it. When I make it smaller it cuts of the text. But I need it to be smaller. How can I make the graph smaller, and the text still fit in? Thankyou

Try using the Edit>Paste Special feature in Word.

It comes up with:

1) Paste as microsoft works Chart (inline)
2) Microsoft Works Chart (Framed)
3) Bitmap
4) Picture

Thankyou

At the bootm the X-ASIS. It has:

13th Aug 05
20 Aug 05
28th Aug 05
etc.... So when i make it smaller just the 13th appears. Or the Aug will become Au 13th

When you paste it in in the usual way (not using Paste Special, that is), how are you trying to resize it?

I just played with a chart created in Excel and pasted into Word 2000. I clicked on the chart to select it, hovered the cursor over one of the tiny boxes that appears in the corners, pressed and held the left mouse button and dragged it huge, then tiny and all sizes in between. It maintained its ratio so all text in the original continued to be displayed but, of course, the smaller the image, the more difficult the text is to read.

Hold down the Ctrl key when resizing graphics to keep the ratio.
