Need advice on picking a laptop... ((that can game decent))
I really want to get a laptop for work and stuff but I want it to be able to game... I heard the Dell Inspiron 6000 does decent, by games I mean games like Guild Wars, Diablo, WoW ect... I don't mind a little lag, just as long as it can play decent and doesn't overheat. I have heard about this happening alot. My friend has a Dell Inspiron and he plays WoW and Diablo and Guild Wars...

Laptop with dual processor with HT technology Pentium 4 2.0 GHZ and faster.
HDD with > 60GB size, 1GB Ram Screen of at least 15" preferable Xwide Xbright(polished is neat and so much better but optional), Video card (I prefer ATI series) with 128MB ram or more. stay away from celeron crap. Cheers I use a Gateway M520x Dual 3.2MHZ P4, 1GB ram, 100GB HDD, ATI 9600 128MB 15.4 Xwide/Xbright and I play games such as Call of duty 2 that are 10x more demanding in graphics than diablo...lol cheers PS: if all your gonna play is diablo type games, get a cheap PIII-9000/1GHZ with 1GB ram it will be just fine. |

Yea well I play Guild Wars and Guild Wars 2, those both have higher requirements than world of warcraft.

Actually GW have lower requirement than WoW
because you'll need good spec for WoW (more crowded in town and PvP) I play GW too, with my fx5200 I turned on the post-processing effect, low terrain, default reflection, high texture and med shadow (no AA) on 1024*748. And I have a good decent fps. But 1024*748 on WoW, I'll have to turn off the bloom effect and turn down any other option to get a good fps when in town, or mass PvP. If you're playing WoW, then you'll need a better RAM (it's really a huge difference). I think laptop with ATI X700 will be good for you. |
