Ok, I have a huge problem, I have a dell with win 2000, one day i went to turn it on and i got this message right before i see the win 2000 screen,

"Windows 2000 could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt:<windows 2000 root>\system32\ntoskrnl.exe. Please re-install a copy of the above file."

well luckily i have a laptop that i can access intenet with, i went to microsoft site and it tells u what to do, the problem is i dont understand....i didnt have the disks for the computer so i went to bootdisk.com and downloaded the 4 diskettes, well my comp only has 3 choices of strting up it gives normal, diskette A drive, or hard drive, i dont know how you administer these disks. do you just pop them in, i cant get any prompts nothing happens no matter what button i push, can someone tell me step by step how i go about doing this? i have the 4 boot diskettes, and i also have the win 2000 cd....please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:hmm:

You will set your computer to boot from the floppy drive first. Place Disk 1 in the drive and let it boot. It will tell you when to insert the next disk, until you have used all 4 of them. At that point, you can enter the recovery console, run a repair install, or do a fresh install.
