Lufbra my old chum.... long time no speak :)

doowopper... which email client do you use? With emotipad you would only have to drag and drop the animated smilies in it into your email..... otherwise you can use any image you save on your hard disk but you would have to change your mail settings to Rich Text or HTML :)

Hi doowopper

First thing I did was to create a folder on my Desktop called Emoticons.
Then went to Emoticons4u.com
On the ones I wanted I right clicked on and selected Save Picture As
and saved them to the Emoticons folder on my Desktop.

I use Outlook Express for my Charter and Hotmail accounts.
If I want to use one of the Emoticons I saved, I use the
Insert Picture function in OE.

I can Drag and Drop them from my Emoticons folder to the
body of an email, but they will appear at the bottom
of the text as an attachment. Like this.

If I use the Insert Picture function in OE they will appear
at the end of a sentence or wherever I want like this. http://users.skynet.be/gedi/emoticons4u/cartoon/446.gif

But if you click on Options and choose to send mail in HTML it works fine. I just tried it.. I dont usually use OE but I fired it up and it works fine.

With the emotipad you have to make sure that you have the setup right. Go to Options>Operational Prefs and choose either embedded or internet option...

Let me know how you get on... you can alway ICQ me if you still have trouble getting it working. 33786815 - Im off to bed now though :)
