2 x NIC (Network Interface Cards) and a crossover Cat5 utp cable.

Network them.

As far as transferring programs, aside from licence issues of installing programs on more than one machine, it is in most cases not possible to simply transfer an installed Windows application to another PC because of the components that may need to be registered in the Windows registry. If you have the discs, and the licence agreement allows it, just re-install on the new machine and use your network connection to transfer saved files and configuration data.

Ummmmm, I guess that depends what part of the world you live in, prices do tend to vary from country to country, same as currencies!!!! ;)

Hi,

Where do you live ? In UK pricing you could pick up 2x10/100 PCI NICs for £30 and a length of CAT5 crossover cable for £5 depending on length.
