My Win 2000 OS PC did a microsoft update, and now gets a "error cannot logon the system parameter is incorrect" message. I did a search, and found that the common fix seemed to be the "Last Known Configuration" However this did not work for me. Anyone have an idea?

Hello,
Have you tried to boot in to Safe mode. Do u get the same error message there as well. I would try to log on with some other user account. In case you are still not able to, Do u have any idea what updates did u do? Like any SPs or update roll up. If this does not work then I will do a in-place upgrade as it removes all the updates including the SP4. Try to check the article for this on Support.microsoft.com
