Smile software for protecting a file from del.

Hello there!
Do you know any (open software if possible or free) program for protecting a file from delete?
I have a folder at my desktop at win 2000 pro and I want to make other unable to delete the specific file and its content’s.

If you have NTFS then you can apply Advanced Permissions to prevent deletion. I haven't found a way to prevent moving it though.
