View Full Version : Cursor Trouble

I don't know if anyone here can actually help me with this problem as I've tried other message boards with no results...but what the heck, here goes:

I can't seem to change my "Link Select" cursor anymore (this has been an ongoing problem for about 2 years now). When I go to mouse properties/pointers it WILL let me change it, and then all LOOKS okay, but when I'm surfing it's always that "hand". Any ideas on what may be causing this?

I haven't changed the mouse or anything since I've had this PC (which is about 3 years old), and I'm using Internet Explorer 6.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Is it a hand only when you select a link or something like that? If so that is normal. Mine has always been that way and any of the pointers you select will be a hand on link select.

If you're trying to change it to a custom cursor, rather than one supplied by Microsoft (and apparently some that are included in the certain makes of mouse software), the Link Select cursor has not been able to be changed from IE5 on up.

I figured it was probably something like that but I never could find any info to validate my theory.

Thanks alot.
