Hi all, I was working on my computer and I had a CD in the CD drive and I was just working away and then my computer froze the screen went back to the desktop, but nothing was there just my background, so as I didn't want to loose anything on the CD i had in the computer I removed the CD and then I turned it off and on again and then it came up with some message, then after a short while it came up with a message saying:

Non System disk or disk error
replace and strike any key when ready.

Someone please help!

Hi Claudz19 welcome to Cyber Tech Help.

Had your computer awhile? Sounds like the motherboard battery is dead. $5.00 for a new one and you should be OK.

You have had it for 3 years and if the model of that motherboard was released
2 years before that then you should replace that battery before replacing the hard drive.

Is there a disk in the floppy drive? If there is, take it out.

Actually Sovereign is right, that should be the first thing checked. Good eye Sovereign.
