Where d'they go ? hehehe

Whose Online has been removed and may make a return at a later date.

Post preview will most likely make a return soon depending on whether or not people miss it.

Last Post By is an essential that I will reinstall tomorrow.

Why remove these features ?

Because I'm in the process of installing something to make this forum move even faster :) This shall be completed and function I hope by the end of tomorrow.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience,

MishY

Mishy, always striving for better and better! That's the kind of man I like! Thank you!

Please, Mishy, can we have at least Post Preview back soon?? :(
I use that from time to time.... ;)

I also use Who's Online - I think it's great to know who's with you out there.... :D

And please - now that we're at it - you have long time ago promised us some more Graemlins.......Could we have those, too??

Kind regards,
Lotte G., Denmark

I've only just finished but does anyone else notice a huge speed increase ? :)

MishY
October 23rd, 2001, 12:39 PM
lol Thanks Damhna

What type of connection are you on ?
I'm on 56k :( and that would be great if I even connected at anything above 33.6 LOL It's made a big difference for me.

I would guess that you have cable or a faster connection ? It will be less noticable on those types of connections (as I'm sure ya know) because they load so damn quick ;)

lmao

What sort of down/upload speeds can you get on a satellite uplink then ?

Yep I'll be readding Last Post by, and Post Preview sometime today.

Whose Online may not make a return until maybe a month or 2 down the track. If at all, but that's depending on whether enough people complain about its abscence. Don't wanna go upsetting y'all lol

But the speed difference is noticable for lower speed connections on all pages, and speed is the feature most important for me because everyone loves fast loading sites ;)

Awesome ;)

That's really good news, and it should just get faster once the cache builds up again (takes a 2-4 hours of people viewing the site)

Hi triplj,

I thought this thread had long since passed into history....

Mishy is currently looking at board upgrades and changes. The "Who's Online" feature may come back depending on which software version he decides to go with. ;)
