Hi,

I have two installations of windows 2000 on my computer. Its devided into several partitions. One installation is on drive E and the other is on drive C. How can I uninstall the one on drive C? I dont use it anymore and I'd like to free up the space. I dont want to lose all the information on drive C, just get rid of the OS and all the associated files and program files.

any help would be appreciated,

chris

How can I uninstall the one on drive C? I don't think you can do this. And why do you have two installs of w2k on one computer? C drive is usually, the one that's bootable, so the only one you can remove is the one on E drive if you still want your computer to boot normally.

But I'm booting to the one on the E: drive right now. The reason I have two is that I was having serious problems with the first and it wouldnt boot. I couldnt access the files to backup since I cant use dos. So I installed another copy in order to access all the files and backup before I reformat. But after I made the second installation the first one seemed to fix itself. In any case I use the second now(its faster with less clutter, but I still have access to my old files).
