I'm totally lost here. When I look in System Properties it says that I have windows 98 Second Edition 4.10.222A. I've just bought a Benq DC1300 digital camera and when I try to put in the cd with the driver I get the autorun box saying "section not find!" and an OK button to push and then nothing happens.
Help, what's going on?

Hi, Welcome to CTH
The cd itself could be bad, scratched. Right click on START then to Explore, go to your cdrom drive (have cd in) double click and see if the contents of the cd show up on the right, if they do then double click on the setup file.
Could be SETUP, INSTALL it's a file with a EXE extension on it.
If that don't work, you can download the drivers HERE (http://www.benq.com.tw/global/service/dsc/drivers.htm)

I've tried that download from the BenQ site 3 times now & I keep getting "The service proile is damaged. Reinstall the service profile."
I thought that my os was windows 98 & I thought that was the problem but when I go to control panel & system it says windows 98 second edition
I just have no idea and a $235 camera that I can't do anything with.:(

Hi ratranch,
Put the CD in that came with the camera
say OK like you did before to the error popup
On your keyboard to the left and right of the spacebar are
two keys the same...they have the Microsoft flag on them
they are called "windows keys".
Hold down one windows key and while still holding it down
push the "e" key. A program pops up...you get this?

Thank you, thank you, thank you........ I'm pretty sure it worked, unfortunately it wanted me to insert the 98se install disc and I lost them last year when we moved, but that's ok I may be able to do something about that this week.
Thanks again so much for your patience & help.

Your welcome.
Your camera still may function even though the computer
wanted the WindowsXX CD.
Also run that thing Murf got you to download earlier, it should work now.
Also open up the "software" folder and install the programs in
there, you'll need them installed to view the pictures.
oxygen is to humans is the same as the WindowsXX CD is to computers...your dead without it.
