View Full Version : Network Drives Won't Stay Mapped

Had this in Window's XP and was told to take it here in networking...

For some reason when users in my department log on into other computers besides their own, their network drives won't stay mapped; it will work fine when they are on their normally used computer, but not when they move somewhere else really quickly.

The network drives should all be automatically mapped because they are roaming profiles stored on the main server.

Anyone got any insight on this? Thx in advance.

Im assuming the users are logged out of their machines before logging into the next one really quickly ( can you clarify "really quickly")

apologize for the word usage; please pay no attention to really quickly. There's only a couple of cases in which our crew members will sign in on a computer other than their own private office machine and drives will not re-map.

Generally our department members are able to sign in at two computers simultaneously. this is the only case that I can think of in which an individual would sign in on another machine other than their own and the map wouldn't drive.

do they run logon scripts?? if so, just add it to that:

net use x: \\server\share
