Politics at its finest!

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/4760873.stm

Can someone please explain to me why these hijackers are not in jail or excecuted? Apparently the court case has cost about £10 million of taxpayers money and they are trying to claim assylum. Only in the UK. Wouldn't be suprised if every other country is laughing about the British government. They are a soft touch.

Sorry, this story has really ticked me off.

Laughing at the British government sure takes a little heat off my dumb government.
"Prime Minister Tony Blair had said the ruling was an "abuse of common sense". I do like Blair. If only he did not side with Bush a few years ago.
I think even he thinks badly about those decisions that were made.
No, I'm not really laughing at such an idiotic thing. I'm crying.

Me too and probably the rest of the country. absolutely barmy. Apparently this particular bunch of people had their conviction overturned on a legal technicality which I am not familiar with. So now they can work here and "contribute to society" which seems to make it alright. NOT. They shd be deported but as usual there are politically correct government officials / opinions / legislation(probably) so they will get to stay here

Too many do gooders in my opinion. Human rights thing has been taken to the next level and is now a joke.

i've just remembered that case where they sent that 70 year old woman to jail for refusing to pay her council tax! How do they work that one out? Maybe I should stop listening to talk sport, the stories wind me up.

Got another one for you. A group of prisoners are suing the home office because they were made to stop using drugs when they got into prison. They went cold turkey from being heroin addicts and they think its a breach of there human rights! lol.

those Afghan "refugees" (or criminal hijackers, as some may call them) were fleeing the Taliban's oppresive regime.

Anybody else notice that the Taliban aren't top dog in Afghanistan any more? Think they're original argument evaporated. Off you go then lads, send us a postcard from Khabul.

Taliban retaking Afghanistan.
Just as it will be in Iraq, 'You Slack, They Come Back.' (I need to patent that statement)
