hi l have two drives on my computer 80gb and 20gb I have installed windows xp on my 80 and windows98 second edition on my 20..I disconnect one drive when using the other just in case of a conflict...but wndows 98 C drive in propertys it tells me that there is 486mb of used space and 1.5gb of free space..its a 20gb drive how can I start over again and wipe the drive clean? and do a new installation? I must have done something wrong the first time...thks Jim:hmm:

Here's a link for using Fdisk to partition and format a drive;

It's for a Seagate drive, but it's the same for all drives.
If you know your drives manufacturer you can download their tools for partitioning and formatting. They usually work a little faster than MS DOS Fdisk.
One question; are you sure you don't have another partition with the rest of the drives volume? Just to be sure look in "My Computer" and see if you have another partition.

l got everything working went to the site you gave me l had a few problems but its working now.thanks for your help.Now that l have two os on my computer 98 and xp can l start up with both pluged in would there be a conflict??witch one would start up as master??jim
