I haven't been on here in a VERY VERY long time.... I found google to be a very good source, and kinda left forums... people always say "google it first" and well, I just always found my answer. OK, so, I have a laptop running windows 2000 SP4. I have a sprint pc card (for wireless) and I have a 10/100 wired ethernet pc card both in the computer. I have everything set up, now, my dilema is getting my pc card modem set to be the WAN for my LAN, and then making my computer a router (sort of) using windows to do it. I would like to know if windows will even do this... as I think it can, but, I haven't been able to get an answer on google... so, here I am... Would I HAVE to use a *nix operating system?

Windows 2000/XP doesn't include a DNS or DHCP server.
You need to use a Server OS such as Windows 2000 Advanced Server or Windows 2003 Server

Have to disagree with you Degsy...
It's not a true DHCP server but Windows ICS will do the trick.

I didn't think about using ICS. I guess it was the forum we are in.
