Wireless Network Problem

I have a labtop with a wireless network card. The internet will not connect to the card. It finds the network, in the activity part it says packets sent: 1,456 packets received: 0. Any ideas? I have tried to repair the connection but it doesn't work. I had to reinstall windows and now I have this problem. Any ideas to fix this?

Did you set the card up with the manufacturer's cd or do it manually? Manual works best every time.
Check that the reinstall hasnt activated something in windows firewall (if it's XP) that prevents internet access, though it's more likely to be caused by a card install that went awry.
