Need Help Please....

Last week my computer stopped reading my second hard drive. My computer now takes about 3-minutes to boot up and while it is booting it make a clicking noise. Everything on my C drive works normally, my dvd drive works fine, but is now listed as my D drive(which my second Maxtor harddrive used to be). My Dvd drive used to me my E drive, but on My Computer there is nolonger a E drive. On my device manager one of my disk drives(generic ide disk type01) now hhas an X on it, and my Primary IDE controller (dual fifo) has an !. On the Hard drive properties it says that the IDE controller has been dynamically disabled. On the Primary IDE controller properties it says "This device is either not present, not working properly, or does not have all the drivers installed. (Code 10.)" My Secondary IDE controller appears to be working fine.
Any help would be appreciated.

removed, or just disconnect the ribbon and power plug from the drive that made these clicking sounds (shut off after you determined which one it is...), and then restart.

Unplugged Harddrive and everything appears to be OK......
Now, is there going to be anyway to recover anything of the drive....I had about 74 gigs worth of files on that drive
