Does anyone have an idea why my Internet works when my cable modem is connected directly to a PC, but does not work when connected to my router? Neither LAN nor WLAN work. Let me know if you need more information. Thanks.

Oh... and my router configuration page (means there is communication between PC and router) says that the PC (via LAN) is connected AND the Internet / cable modem (WAN) is connected. WLAN SSID shows up on other computers as an available network.

The router is a D-Link DI-624M.

Sounds like a DNS or firewall issue. Can you actually connect to the router? Can you enter the config page?

Firstly temporarily disable any firewalls or virus/firewalls you have. If the internet still doesn't work go into the summary page of the router config to check it is recieving the DNS servers from the modem.

under your network connections see if you are bridged if so disable or delete that connection.

Yes, I can connect to the config page. It does show my cable modem's IP. I guess I could try disabling my windows firewall, but I don't think that is the problem. I'll try it though. Connections are not bridged. Any other ideas?

Windows firewall wont cause a prob, its usualy with other firewalls. You could try writing down those DNS servers then setting up a static IP address and inputing those DNS servers manually. Right click on your wireless card, go to properties and go to the properties of tcp/ip to do this. You will need to set the IP within the range of the router, and make the gateway the router's IP address.
