tooooo sloooow conections on dialup

hi in new in this forum and page but i have a question... i have to use dial-up:hmm: but ive tried lots of different tweakes to get the thing to connect faster and also download faster , yes dial-up blows for downloads but im only downloading at like 2kb per sec i connect at only 28.8 at best and sometime my downloads go into bytes :curse: so iask is there a program or regitry edit to halp any of this or a setting cause ive been in the modem properties and tweaked that setp my conection speed correctly and talked to my isp all with no results

Hi and welcome to CTH.

Allthough with a dial up connection i don't think there is much to be done, maybe you could try a download manager and see if there is an improvement. The link to Snapfiles are all freeware and at Download.com both trials and free.
Be sure to read the users reviews at each one and try a few.

I would advice you also to avoid the ones by Crawler and Kazaa.
