I have a Compaq 7100 Series that has Windows 98 SE on it and listened to my country bumpkin sister and installed Windows Xp Home edition. I now have 2 OS. I don't like it at all:disgust: I cannot go to compaq quick restore because I need the disk. I have recovery disk but not the other disk that is required. I want to take off Windows XP and just leave Windows 98SE. My computer was great until I listened to her. Please help me.:dizzy: :sad: :sad: :disgust:

If you have two operating systems that means you have two partitions. (Check to make sure) All you need to do is use the fdisk tool to format the partition with Windows XP on it. Here's some info on formatting with fdisk;
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/q255867/
Make sure you're formatting the correct partition and not the partition with Windows 98 on it. Now you'll need a Windows 98se boot disk. If you don't have one, you can download one here:
http://www.bootdisk.com/bootdisk.htm
I hope this helps.

Do a start/find/files and insert boot.ini
When it finds it, rename it to boot.sav and reboot.
This should just load Windows without asking.:cool:
