Hi, i am trying to help someone who's got an ancient m/board cpu [495mhz] and only 64 mb memory, but wants to run XP on it.

He is currently running win98 but its a mess with missing files, cdrom won't work, etc, and he has no OS disc for it.
I told him that you would need more memory and really a better cpu as well, but money is a problem, for him, so anyway i tried to go into setup and put OS cdrom first then hardriVe 2nd, but trouble is i have looked all over the settings and can't find were i can put these in order, to run the OS disc.
The m/b is a IBM 628849A, can anyone help me out here please.

first of all winxp will not run on that computer. WinXP calls for at least 128 megs of ram and imo that is not near enough.

Thanks for your quick reply,
Ok, i will search for a win98 disc, but still the same problem, i can't see how you can set the cdrom first then the hardrive next, to run the OS disc, i have been over and over all the settings but i can't see how to do as i said.
