Chicago Food Fight Turns Ugly Over Foie Gras (http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,195039,00.html)
“They’ll go after veal and lobsters and get to ban all of it until we’re all vegetarians.”
Will KFC, Burger King, Captain D's, be next?
I'm not eating celery sticks, fruit, berries, and veggies all the time.
I'm steak and potatoes.
"And how would you like that steak cooked, Sir?"
"Knock his horns off, wipe his a$$, and slide him across the grill."
This has got to be more important than oil, Iraq, immigration, pollution, etc,.
Everyone has their band wagon to jump on.:hmm:

So all there going to create is yet another commodity to get on the blackmarket along with drugs and illegal weapons. :rotflmao:

at least meat lovers eat their food dead. When you eat salads and such - its still living. Plants are just another form of living being. They live, they breath, they reproduce, they bleed, they show emotions, and they have intelligent. Its cruel to eat something still living. :D

"Knock his horns off, wipe his a$$

I'm with you on this one brother only I tend to just show the steak to the grill and then tuck in.

Perish the thought of abolishing foie gras sales. That truly is not cricket:sad:

:rotflmao: Yeah, sometimes I just put the raw steak close to a 100 watt light bulb for a couple minutes.:D And yes, I do eat small quantities of the raw steak before I cook it. Raw hamburger too. I'm mad, I tell you, just mad. When I was stationed in Germany a good hangover meal was steak tar tar. Raw hamburger meat with a raw egg in it and a brochin (bread. forgot how to spell it)
Here's a recipe (http://www.geocities.com/buckeyepa/steaktartar.html)
Guess I got the cheap version.

Ah Nick, raw steak and burgers........it's all starting to fall into place :rotflmao:

Coming from farming stock, in our family EVERY meat is well cooked. Trust me, it's worth it. Steak tar tar that melts in the mouth is a truly delicious thing, but by god raw/almost raw meat can do terrible things to you. What I've seen crawl out of freshly killed good quality meat could put you off for life.

saying that, I almost ate a slug in my salad once (NOT a euphemism) and it kept me awake for weeks - ych y fi !

It nearly came to blows in a hotel restaurant just outside Pontivy, on the Breton/Norman border one year.
I kept sending the steak back to be recooked. When it went back for the third time, the chef came out of his kitchen and put on a great Gallic display berating me with something along the lines of
"In France, Obelisk like you would eat it raw".
All eyes turned on me and I gave him back (with equal Gallic flair and passion)
"In France, Obelisk like me dies at age 40 with liver fluke".
He got the message, so took my steak back and probably spat on it and made the cat lick it a few times before returning a burnt offering to my table!

Ordering a steak well done and you might just as well eat your shoe soles.
I've been eating rare to raw meat for many years with no ill effect. Lucky?
Naw. Just a good healthy body system that seeks out any varmints I may swallow and slay them. Mostly the real young or real old are affected, usually, because of weak immune systems. Even chicken I fry or nuke may be red to the bone.:hmm: Sick, huh? I drink the water in Mexico and have eaten many things in other countries that have been hanging in the sun all day.
Making me hungry. If I can find my molded cheese, I'll fry it on bread.:D

Yeah, Liondad, that humor was pretty FOWL.;)

Yeah, his site gets that a lot. I've been getting a flood of email lately from people telling me that they can no longer see my site from work, school, and even public libraries. It seems that a popular web filtering company, Websense, has decided that my site is "tasteless." Specifically, they define it as:

"Sites with content that is gratuitously offensive or shocking, but not violent or frightening. Includes sites devoted in part or whole to scatology and similar topics or to improper language, humor, or behavior." You're missing out. You'll have to check the page when you get home...

He's quite a lad, you (I think it was) sent us to his site a few times before. Great sense of humour.
