I have recently obtained a used Dell C600 laptop that has Windows2000 loaded as an operating sytem. I am not familier with this system and am hoping for some guidance. I am trying to find a way to increase the time before my screen goes blank when I don't use the mouse, move my curser or use any keys.
I know there must be a solution. Can anyone suggest one.
Thank you

Hi there. There are a couple of things that will be controlling this.
1stly, Windows display and power management settings - right-click your desktop and select properties, settings, power. Make your desired changes.
2ndly, the laptop's BIOS power management may be over-riding Windows, particularly if on battery power.
As the laptop is booting up, you will need to enter the BIOS. Press F2.
From memory I think it's the third page in the BIOS screen that shows power management options for battery or AC connection. Again make your desired changes and save them.
