i have three computer one can not link to d-link router or directt to dsl
i need help to set up ipconfig ,and ping ip address
i know how to realese ip address in ms config but i can not type new ip address

You don't "setup" ipconfig or ping addresses. Those are both utilities to help you find out information about your computer and network.
As for "typing" in a new IP address, you would only do that through the network connections manager if you were given a static ip address.
You connection should look something like this.
Phone -> ADSL Modem -> Home router (setup for pppoe) -> home computers
If this is not your setup, make sure you know what your settings are for your DSL connection (user name, pass, etc) and go into the router's configuration page and input the information (making sure that it is setup for PPPoE not DHCP).
