I tried to set up a home network by clicking my WIRELESS NETWORK CONNECTION and got a third icon. I didn't think that wasn't right (I think I finally got rid of the third icon through reinstalling my Wireless Adapter - it hasn't come back). I think I should click properties on the second idon in my netowrk connections, which is Local Area Conection and setting up the Home Netwrok through that instead of my Wireless Network Connection. Is that right?

Just click the link to Run a home or small office network.
That will start the wizard.

I'm holding off on doing that. I ran it before and wound up with 3 IE7 icons under Desktop in Windows Explorer and 4 different desktop icons, each with a different symbol in WE also. I could not open them or delete them. Wondering why that happened, too <G>.
What I am interested in knowing is whether the home network would be created through the Wireless Network Connection or the Local Internet Connection? These two are located under a heading LAN or High Speed Internet.
Well, the third icon is back under the heading Internet Gateway in Network Connections, which would probably be the router. How can I get rid of it to start over?
Thanks

If you have run the Wireless Wizard and are connected then run the Network Wizard to tweak the settings to share files on the network.
You can do it manually, but it's usually best to run the wizard as it seems to jog windows memory about the network it is trying to connect to.
